Shapely Shirt Stain

I have a sleeping in problem. This week I haven’t made it to work before 8:15, and it’s usually closer to 8:30. I’ve been rolling out of bed at the last possible minute – 7:30. I HATE getting out of bed before I am totally awake. Before I hopped in the shower, I went to the basement to throw some clothes in the dryer so that I had something to wear. It’s not unusual for me to wear a damp cardigan every now and again. Cue the tiny violins for my supreme lack of attention to the laundry.

I was planning to wear a purple collared shirt that I got at Kohl’s recently for something like $5. The price was the only reason I was able to get it. I don’t normally buy purple but this lavender beaut was calling my name. Suddenly, I noticed there was a BLEACH STAIN on the front. A bleach stain on my barely worn only purple article of clothing! How did that get there?! I’m so lazy with the laundry I don’t remember the last time I used bleach anywhere NEAR my clothes. Quite a puzzling conundrum I have on my hands. But there was no time to figure out how it got there since it was getting late.

So anyway, when I looked closer, I was thankful that it was small, but was immediately struck by the outline. It’s in the shape of the University of Texas hook ‘em horns sign. That was even more horrifying – people are going to think I’m a TEXAS fan. Good thing the shirt’s not ORANGE! I’m a Buckeye all the way and in my semi-awake pre-coffee stupor this was NOT ACCEPTABLE.

Then I got to thinking a little more. It looks a little like a uterus, too. When I put the shirt on, the stain falls just under my left boobage. So there is a little beauty mark shaped like one lady part on top of another lady part. Interesting.

I was so late I wore it anyway.  See?  The clock says 5 pas 8.  And I wasn’t so thrilled about my new purple shirt anymore.

On my commute I was wondering if the Texas people realize their mascot looks kind of like a uterus. Hmm.


Whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.
